Do you want a web site, but don't know how to start? Then this is where you can find all of the information you need to get going.

How often to you look at a web site and think, "I could do that!"? or "I could do better than that!"?  Well, the good news is, you're doing the right thing, in the right place.  The internet holds all of the information you need, no more than a few clicks away.

To get started, you'll need a few things;

• A desire to create a web site - you must already have this, or you wouldn't be here!
  
  
• A text editor, notepad will do or a WYSIWYG editor - for editing your HTML
  
  
• Ideas! - what do you want your site to be about?  Have you got a business that needs exposure?  Or maybe it's a personal site, or blog, let the world know what you're up to!

As you navigate around this site, you may come across terms and phrases that you're not familiar with, but don't worry, take a look at our glossary, where these will be explained, in easy, concise English.  And even if you can't grasp these straight away, it's a lot to take in in one go, so fear not, you'll pick up the stuff you need to know, along the way.
